Introduction

I traveled a lot in cars and trains, but this time I am going to share my bike ride. If you had a long weekend, try this plan. It will give you a lot of experience in bike riding. I packed my things for this trip, and I reached Coimbatore with the help of the train.

Head to Coimbatore

Once I reached Coimbatore, I got a bike for the rent; it costs around 1,000 INR for a day without petral costs. I took some water bottles, foods, and snacks on my bike, and I started to explore the Nilgiris forest range. It is considered one of the most dense forests in India.

     My Route : Coonoor-Ooty-Masinagudi

Coonoor

I started traveling towards Coonoor, which was at a distance of 73 kilometers from Coimbatore City. It is considered the small village of Ooty. And the world-famous Nilgiri train is running along the road. There are many bungalows, hotels, and homestays on the roadside. Ketti and Wellington are the top recommendations to visit in Coonoor.

Ooty

Once I enjoyed the beauty of Coonoor, the next morning I traveled 23 kilometers to reach Ooty. The climate is chill and cool. During the festival, the crowd will be high. So please schedule your trip according to that. I stayed in a hotel that night. I saw the real beauty of Ooty at night. It is so gorgeous.

Masinagudi

Finally, I moved towards Masinagudi, which is considered a small village in the foothills of the Nilgiris. The distance between Ooty and Massinagudi is 20 kilometers. This road is called the Kalhatty-Ghat Road. It is a great challenge for the driver. There are many jungle safaris and cottages on the side of this road.

Conclusion

After the visit to Masinagudi, I returned to Coimbatore via the same road I traveled before. This trip helps me a lot to recover from the weekday stress.
