Digital Nomads are people who people who travel and work remotely using the internet. Their work are usually location independent and are tied upto the computer and internet, which they could carry anywhere.
#A lot of digital nomads pursue free-lancing, where they get to work with multiple clients, with no fixed hours of work and timing constraints. Content Creation, Programming & Designing seem to be the highly opted profession among the community.
Perks of being a digital Nomad
Location Independency:You can anywhere, from everywhere; Provided you have a stable internet connection.
Travel & Explore:Being a digital Nomad gives you the freedom to travel and explore various cultures, people, cuisines, etc, all while you work. This way of life is chosen by people, who are ever curious to travel and explore.
Lower Cost of Living:The cost of living has been increasing, especially in developed countries. People from these countries, opt for this way of work where they could escape from the heavy cost of living, while enjoying the other benefits as well.
Cons of being a digital Nomad
Loneliness: Although, Digital Nomadism gives you the freedom to work as you wish, it detaches you away from your personal bondages like friends, family and co-workers. Though friends, could be made in new places, they all are short lived, before moving on to the next place.
Local Issues:Aligning with the laws of the new country, new VISAs, new language, new culture, adjusting and re-adjusting constantly as you move to new places
Forced Minimalism: This way of living forces you to use or buy stuff, that could be carried on to newer locations. Since carrying a lot of materials everywhere, is not possible minimalism has to self imposed.
This is a way of life, which could be opted for just a few months to years or could be a permanent way of life. They live in temporary housing, work in co-working spaces, beaches, to literally everywhere because the last time i saw one working in a cafe. They exist everywhere and everywhere, only second to sleeper cells.
